Happy Easter! I hope everyone had a great day! Remember yesterday, I said I was ready for Sunday, usually a restful day? Well... the boys woke up at 6:30, while they hunted for eggs and went through their baskets I made cinammon rolls, (thank heavens for Pillsbury:))and eggs for breakfast. Then quickly got ready for 9:00 church. Home at noon in time for lunch and naps, and mad cleaning of the house before Tiff and the kids, my parents, Jacob's dad, our friend Rachel, and the missionaries all joined us for Chinese Haystacks. Then some other friends and their 3kids came over for dessert. Then it was bedtime and recovery time, (for the house and me) and folding of 5 loads of laundry.... I need another Sunday to recover and get ready for Monday!

Time Wasted or Well Spent?

Ok... So every year I make these Bunny Sugar Cookies, I spend hours frosting them and then we take them to people and wish them Happy Easter. I do the same thing with Ginger Bread Houses at Christmas Time. My question is this... Are they a total waste of time or do people really appreciate them? Jacob thinks that its a waste of time. I really enjoy doing them and I think other people like them... Anyway, whats are your thoughts....

What a day!

Ok, so this morning we got up and went to an Easter Egg Hunt at some friends' house! There were probably 100 kids there, its CRAZY fun! Kyson had all of 10 minutes to find his 12 eggs and then it was off to soccer game. Then home where I was busy making these bunny sugar cookies, see previous blog, and the boys died some eggs. Then to Eatza Pizza for the kids and to see Horton Hears a Who, which was pretty funny, by the way! Busy day, lots of fun, ready for Sunday!

HELP!
Ok... apparently I am still BLOGGER CHALLENGED! I want my new posts up on top, then some Easter pictures, then my old posts down below... How do you insert posts in the middle of the pictures... I swear other people have that. But all of my blogs go down to the bottom! Any ideas??? Also, how do I layer the backgrounds to have more than one background color, and still keep my heading? Thanks for the help!

I had another one.... a Birthday!
Well, yesterday I had a birthday and turned 31! I am not excited to say I'm 31. 30 was fun... 30, Flirty and Thriving, right? 31 just sounds... Blah, I guess. Oh well, what do you do? I really appreciated all of the cards and emails and stuff I received. It sure made me feel good that so many of my friends remember. I feel bad, as I am sure I have missed many of your birthdays.
So what did we do? Well, Jacob took me to lunch at PF Changs, which I love! I had some Spicy Green Beans and Szechwan Asparagus... MMMMMM... they were both so good. I actually preferred the asparagus, but I love them both. I wish I could make asparagus taste like that. Then Jacob came home and watched the kids so I could go get a pedicure. Then we had a bunch of family and friends over for dinner and dessert. We played the Animal game, a favorite. Ya know the one where you clap and send signs and stuff. So I started in the "King" chair, and was there forever, like an hour at least. Then we made a rule that if you messed up instead of going to the end you were out of the game, to get it to end. So the very first time doing that I got out. SERIOUSLY! It was pretty funny.
Jacob got me an IPhone, which I was pretty excited about. He also got this inflatable slide & climbing thing for summertime for the kids. That should help the time pass when there is no school. He also had 2 dozen roses for me when we went to lunch and the sweetest card. The boys got me a CTR ring that I'd been wanting. I felt totally spoiled.
At my little party thing, one of my friends husband, Billy, said we should all go around and say something that we like about Annette. I wonder why it is so hard to accept compliments from people? I have a really hard time with that. But it really felt wonderful. I think we should do that for each other more often. I remember doing that is Psychology class in High School. I kept that paper forever. Everyone wrote something they liked about you. Anyway, it sure makes you feel good.
Ok, so now I am rambing, sorry! Anyway, it was a great day and I'm sure I will get used to being 31, probably about the time I turn 32... UGH!

Spout Springs Sledding Trip
Well we had a Super Fun Weekend. Our friends, Dan & Stacey Ostler, invited us, along with some other friends, Cory & Sonja Hansen and our families up to a cabin that belongs to their friends. The "cabin" is a 3 story beautiful log type home in the middle of 28 acres of the Blue Mountains, that they own. We all went sledding. The kids would sled down the BIG hill, and then the dads would put them on the back of the snowmobiles and haul the kids back to the top of the hill, so they could sled down again! It was a lot of fun! (I think the guys enjoyed the snowmobile rides more then the kids.) The guys did that quite a bit. We played lots of games, watched movies, hot tubbed in the snow, ate too much food, got stuck in the snow, trying to get in. Dan had to go get the snowblower tractor thing to help us get out. Good times! Its so fun having such GREAT friends that we can do these kinds of fun things with!

The Old Days
Ok... I cleaned out our shed and at least got the OLD albums out. I found yearbooks too... Joy, remeber the year you wrote one word on every page of my yearbook! You were so creative. Anyway, I found the old pictures. I am going to pick out some really embarrassing ones of all my BEST high school friends, just a warning. Hopefully I will get around to this soon. Does anyone else just feel like time goes too fast. The moments I have to actually do things for myself are so few that things never seem to get done. Like the whole picture thing.
Other than that, things are good. We were watching this show last night about all the people that started, MySpace, Facebook, Napster, etc. I keep thinking what is the thing we can start? These 20 year old kids who have an idea and make millions. Man, I am wanting a big piece of that!
We went to see a couple of comedians recently up in Spokane. We saw Paula Poundstone and Brian Regan. Actually the guy that opened for Brian Regan was funnier I thought. Some hawiian guy. He had me rolling! If you like Comedy they are all super funny and clean. I think you can see them on YouTube. Anyway, watch for them to come to a city near you.

Ok... I am totally going to copy Joy and Dawn. I do love this video of American Idol, man this kid is good. And I am going in search of old pictures. I have no idea where they may be, but I am getting a kick out of all of the pictures from days far away. So I will go find them and post them. I challenge you all to do the same. Its quite a kick!
