Ok... So I'm a little late... It's not quite March yet. :) I was thinking, I'd like to hear what other people's goals are for the year. Maybe that way we can support each other. Check in, and say how we did for the week or if we are getting to our goals. Ya know? So here are mine...
March 15th- 5K Run @ Columbia Park
May- Old Inland Empire Bike Ride, Its 100 mile, one day ride up the canyon here. Did you even know we had a canyon here? Its supposed to be one of the top 10 rides in the country, or something like that. Anyway, I've never done it!
June 28th- Mini Tri-Athalon, my first one. Its in Auburn, WA.
July 16th- Seattle to Portland Bike Ride. Its 200 miles, you can do one day or two. I've already done the first 100 miles a couple of years ago. I was 4 1/2 months pregnant so I didn't try to do the whole thing. But I'd like to do the whole thing this year.
Labor Day Weekend- Tri Athalon, here at Columbia Park, and around Tri Cities.
How about you guys! What do you want to do this year!

Those are pretty sweet goals! I should thinks of some for this year! Not sure what though? That is really nice that you put that about Colbie Ostler on your blog. I tried to get Terry to go but I think he felt uncomfortable going. I really wish we could have made it. We had no idea until yesterday. So sad! Bless their sweet hearts.
He wants to take dinner to them instead. Hopefully we'll get that to them shortly. Maybe after everything dies down. What a sweet baby and how so very blessed Ryan and his wife are to have such great friends and family so close.
Hi Annette,
So, I just found out that there is a mini-triathlon in our little town in a few months. They are doing a 750 meter swim, 6 mile bike and 3 mile run. I just don't know if I am a strong enough swimmer??? I don't have any idea how long 750 meters is...but the rest sounds totally doable!
By the way, thanks for the link to Kareen's blog:)
Mine are lame compaired to yours! I am trying out my FIRST 5K! The rest are home and family goals! I figure I would start small! I am a horrible swimmer so I would never do a triathlon(: Way to go post how you did(:
Hey Joy....Are you talking about Kareen (dickman?)????
Yea... Dawn, Kareen Dickman, Well Bailey now. I put her link on my blog... you can check it out. She just got it a couple of days ago.
Ok Joy! Lets train for a triathalon together. I looked up meters for you, cuz I had no idea. After extensive searches I found out that a meter is close to a yard, so about 3 ft. which means your swim is... about a half mile. Not too bad. That is 38 lengths of a pool. 6 miles on a bike will only take about 20-30 min. That sounds like fun. Are you going to do it? Sometimes you can do them as a team and have someone else swim for you... a thought!
Your list has me out of breath, and I'm not even running!
What awesome goals Annette!
SWIM a half mile??? H E Double Hockey Stick (old school Annette) NO! I think the furthest I have ever swam was one length of a pool. Although the team idea sounds interesting. Maybe if I really put my heart into it I would be ready to do the swim next year.
Hey,
I just wanted to let you know that Melanie has a blog...you can go to mine to see the link.
Hi Annette! Love your blog too! Wow, you have amazing goals! Yes, I'm in the Tri-Cities, and my goal was to do the 5K on March 15th, but then I found out Time Out for Women was going to be in Spokane that weekend and I have always wanted to go, so I'm taking my sister to that instead. There aren't enough 5Ks here! Do you know when the next one after that is?
Mel- I'm not sure, but if you go to www.3rrr.org they have a lot of events listed for the year. There are quite a few events here, I was surprised. Let me know what you end up doing.
