Well, not that it couldn't have been worse, but I swear we go from one mess in our house to another. I feel like I can't keep up with these kids! So, Kennedy has pretty much become totally self sufficient, at the young age of 18 months. She will go to the pantry and pull out the cereal, reach her little hand through the opening, grab a handful of cheerios, put them into a cup (usually) and get a spoon and eat them. Its really quite cute, actually. Until I walked into this the other day...
What I love here is that she has her spoon and is just going to sit and eat them. Who cares that they are on the floor? Makes no difference to her!
The cereal is now one shelf higher!

How cute! She is really proud of herself isn't she?
I know the feeling of never feeling caught up - though, after seeing your house I have a hard time believing you don't keep up with the messes! I was very jealous of your clean house! :)
